Polymer DMT once again receives Spitzenförderung Tanz from the Ministry of Culture and Science of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, along with seven other companies.We congratulate all colleagues and look forward to realizing our artistic projects in the next three years.
NEWS BUCH.BASEL
Khuê Pham and Fang Yun Lo are guests at the BuchBasel after collaborating on "Kim." They will discuss, among other things, how the novel "Wo auch immer ihr seid" was staged as a performance with six German-Asian performers, using film sequences as reference. November 18, 2023, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM at Jazzcampus.
NEWS “Home away from home – Munich”
The installation will be on display in Munich as part of the thematic series "when memories meet" during the Spielart Theater Festival on October 20, 21, and 22.
NEWS Premiere "Kim"
29.9.2023 | 8 p.m. HELLERAU Dresden.
Together with the author and journalist Khuê Phạm and five dancers, we follow "Kim" (from Phạm's novel "Wherever You Are") and the traces the Vietnam War left in her life and link them with our own - and the audience's lives.

For the first time we are represented at the INTHEGA Theatermarkt. The Theatermarkt will take place on 12th and 13th of June in Stadthalle Bielefeld.
NEWS "Unsolved" at tanzmainz festival #4
we are invited to tanzmainz festival #4 for a performance of our piece "Unsolved". The performance will take place on March 8, 2023 at 9 pm. Additionally, there will be a rehearsal pre-showing of "Unsolved” in Villa Wigman in Dresden on March 4.
NEWS "Luceo" in Festspilehaus St. Pölten
On Sunday, 18th of December, we show the piece "Luceo" at 4 pm in Festspielhaus St. Pölten. In "Luceo" everything revolves around a magical light that sends four dancers on an adventurous journey of discovery. With her first piece for young audiences, choreographer Fang Yun Lo creates an imaginative journey through the world of associations. Ages 4 and up.
NEWS German premiere of "Home away from home"
The German premiere of "Home away from home" will take place on 14.10.2022 at 8 pm in Hellerau, Dresden. The piece weaves a touching, multi-voiced journey through the often invisible Vietnamese diasporic community from dozens of memories. Additional performances will take place on 15.10.2022 at 4 pm and 8 pm.
NEWS space | lab is running from 29.-31.7.2022

NEWS we are part of “Folkwang and the city”
ASIA RESTAURANT is a space installation with video and sound recordings in an abandoned asian restaurant in Essen’s city centre. It is based on the piece “Home away from home” and is part of the exhibition "Folkwang and the City" as part of the 100th anniversary of the Museum Folkwang in Essen 2022.

NEWS Home away from home - cinema premiere now online
Due to the ongoing COV19 pandemic, we unfortunately have to move the cinema premiere of our film Home away from home, planned for Nov. 26, 2021, back to the digital space. The presentation will take place as part of the festival "Unlearn Racism" in Dresden, presented by the Council for Migration Germany.
Following the online presentation, there will be a Zoom talk with Pham Minh Duc, Andrés Hilarion and Fang Yun Lo at 7:30 pm. The discussion will be moderated by Lizza May David from the association korientation e.V. Berlin.
NEWS Tanzpakt RECONNECT 2021/22

NEWS Nano Giants Premiere
NANO GIANTS is a journey through a theatrical wonderland where we explore the value of community. It is about simple but fundamental questions of human life: Are we small or big, in relation to what and whom? What can we do alone, what only together? Do we move or are we moved?
On 1 October our new production for young audiences will start at a historic location: Mary Wigman's rehearsal hall in Dresden! Realised in cooperation with Tanzpakt Dresden / HELLERAU and PACT Zollverein Essen.
NEWS space | lab encounters are starting!
On 22 March 2021 our lecture and workshop series space | lab encounters will start! Our first guests are Cindy Hammer and Magdalena Weniger from TanzNetzDresden e.V., with whom we will talk about self-organisation of artists and lobbying for the independent scene in both cities together with colleagues from IG Tanz Essen. NEWS Top-level funding for dance by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia 2021-2023
Polymer DMT / Fang Yun Lo has been selected by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as one of a total of eight ensembles for the Top Dance Funding 2021-2023. We are very pleased about this prestigious, honourable award. We also see this as a political sign that with our work between choreography, transcultural work and documentary encounters with people of the most diverse origins, we fulfil an important cultural function for Essen, the Ruhr region and North Rhine-Westphalia.
